In 2007, Michael Toulmin moved to the Comox Valley and started Toulmin Construction.  It was then that he met his wife Carolyn, and started a family.  The business has taken many forms over the years.  At it’s largest, there were 12 employees, an excavator, a bin truck, a crane truck, tool trailers and crew trucks.

Michael now prefers a small crew that he can manage at all times.  His standards for workmanship are kept high as he enjoys wielding the tools and creating for his clients.

Michael’s genius is solving problems.  Whether he’s tying two pieces of house together as he creates a new dwelling underneath, or simply finding ways to save money, Michael enjoys working with others to create a product he can be proud of.
